Pantelleria, TP (Italy) / 2011

This is the trunk of a fig tree silhouetted against a small wall of lava stone behind which the tree takes shelter from the harshness of the Pantelleria climate. I find interesting the tonal and shape contrast between the light trunk and the dark stone background and its sinuous but regular shape against the quite chaotic background of stones all different in shape and size.
